England was eliminated from the tournament in the group stage after losing to Afghanistan by 8 runs on Wednesday.
Chasing a strong target of 326 runs, England was bowled out for 317 in 49.5 overs.
This was Afghanistan's second ODI victory against England. They had previously defeated England in the ODI World Cup held in India two years ago.
For England, Joe Root was the top scorer with 120 runs. He faced 111 balls, hitting 11 fours and 1 six. Root completed his 17th ODI century in 98 balls.
Captain Joe Root and Ben Duckett both scored 38 runs, while Harry Brook was dismissed for 25. Opener Phil Salt got out for 12 runs, whereas Jamie Overton contributed 32 runs off 28 balls before getting out.
For Afghanistan, Azmatullah Omarzai was the standout bowler, taking 5 wickets for 58 runs in 9.5 overs. Mohammad Nabi took 2 wickets, while Fazalhaq Farooqi, Gulbadin Naib, and Rashid Khan claimed one wicket each.

For Afghanistan, Ibrahim Zadran was the top scorer with an outstanding 177 runs. He faced 146 balls, hitting 12 fours and 6 sixes.
Zadran created history by becoming the first Afghan batter to score a century in the Champions Trophy. This milestone came in Afghanistan's second match of the tournament.
He had also scored Afghanistan’s first-ever ODI World Cup century two years ago. Zadran completed his sixth ODI century in 106 balls.
He reached 150 runs in 134 balls and set a new record for the highest individual score in the Champions Trophy. He broke the previous record of 165 runs set by England’s Ben Duckett against Australia last Saturday.
Afghanistan was in trouble at 37 for 3, but Zadran and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi stabilized the innings with a 103-run partnership. Shahidi contributed 40 runs off 67 balls, hitting three fours.
For the fifth wicket, Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai built a crucial 72-run stand. Omarzai played an attacking knock, scoring 41 runs off 31 balls, including 1 four and 3 sixes.
